ASIAN TURKEY MEATBALLS
Ingredients
4 servings will require:
450 g. minced turkey | other minced meat is also suitable
1 carrot
1 tsp Supergarden freeze-dried garlic
1 tsp Supergarden freeze-dried chili pellets
1/2 tsp Supergarden freeze-dried ginger powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 egg | if you avoid it - not necessary
2 tbsp rusks | for the GF version, cornmeal
4 spring onions
1 tbsp roasted sesame oil
1 tbsp soy sauce | for the GF version - Tamari
Rice
Pea pods
Sesame seeds
The sauce will need:
100 ml. chicken broth
2 tbsp soy sauce | for the GF version - Tamari
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp honey | sugar is also suitable (but not so healthy)
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp starch
1 tsp Supergarden freeze-dried garlic
1/2 tsp Supergarden freeze-dried ginger powder
Process
- Grate the carrots and squeeze the liquid.
- In a bowl, we put all the ingredients for the dumplings: minced turkey, carrots, all the spices, egg, breadcrumbs, chopped onion leaves, oil, and soy sauce.
- Mix everything well, form dumplings by hand, and place them on a baking sheet.
- Bake in the oven at 190 degrees for 25 minutes.
- While the dumplings are baking, we boil the rice and fry the pea pods.
- In a jar, mix all the ingredients for the sauce.
- When the dumplings are baked, pour the prepared sauce into the pan and heat for a few minutes, stirring, until the sauce thickens.
- Transfer the dumplings to the thick sauce, stirring so that all the dumplings cover evenly.
- Serve with boiled rice and fried pea pods (it can be perfectly replaced with broccoli).
- Sprinkle with chopped onion leaves and sesame.
